Music for our ceremony

As I said in my post last week about my super talented photographer cousin Dorsett (www.dorsettclarkphotography.com), if you have talented family and they offer their talents. USE THEM!!!

Mr. AC and I knew that we wanted music in our ceremony. We also knew we wanted it to be a little nontraditional. Let me introduce my "ceremony singer" and amazingly talented cousin Hailey. Hailey is incredible. Her voice is amazing and she has a presence when she is singing (if you know what I mean - she lights everything up). She has won contests, sings internationally and is just amazing. I asked her to sing in our ceremony and she said YES! I feel honored to have her sing for us.

This is a clip of Hailey singing Autumn Leaves by Eva Cassidy LIVE

Want to hear more check out her myspace page: www.myspace.com/haileyhewittclark

The first song she will sing for us is right before I walk down the aisle. She is going to sing Adele's version of "Make You Feel My Love". I am so excited about this because I really see it as a gift to Mr. AC before I walk down the aisle. The song is perfect and Hailey will ROCK IT! The reason I picked this song is because I really feel like the person singing (originally Bob Dylan) is saying...I am not perfect, I will make mistakes, this love won't be easy BUT I will do everything in the world to make you feel my love and know that you are the one for me.

Here is a clip of the song by Adele:

We are still trying to decide on a second song for Hailey to sing. We want a song that is not traditional but that is incredibly romantic. We are considering something by Norah Jones, "Feels like Home" or "Before You" by Chantal Kreviazuk, "Real Love" originally by John Lennon, sung by Regina Spektor.

Do you have talented family? How are you asking them to participate?

Also, any suggestions for a 2nd song?!!!
